Green Building & Sustainable Design – EDA has always endeavored to create buildings that are environmentally responsible. Green building practices are an investment in good design which often results in reduced consumption and lower operating costs. EDA's LEEDTM-certified project designer evaluates projects for LEEDTM / green building standards such as sustainable site design, water efficiency, "green" materials and resources, energy conservation, atmosphere and interior environmental quality. The Salt Palace Convention Center Expansion [hotlink], designed by EDA to meet LEEDTM certification criteria, is serving as a pilot project for future Salt Lake County green building initiatives.
