Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature Center is a 127-acre wildlife habitat dedicated to environmental education and to the preservation of Utah’s natural heritage. Currently, EDA has designed a 7,000 s.f. visitor and education facility that is the centerpiece of the Nature Center. This new Visitor Center houses an interpretive exhibit gallery, a gift and book shop, administrative offices, a library and a multiuse room for environmental study. The central two-story gallery space is flanked by lean-to wings that are sheltered by planted roots. The building also uses passive solar heating (with underfloor hot water heating) and extensive natural lighting complemented by energy-efficient artificial lighting.
