Durrant Bakery
Previously used as a restaurant, the building was renovated to house offices and retail spaces. The building’s existing 8,000 s.f. bow truss section was renovated and a new addition of 4,500 s.f. was added to the building as possible retail space and/or more office space. Included was a seismic upgrade, new glazing, mechanical, electrical systems, a new roof and new landscaping to the building. The building has 2 large silos that have been preserved as landmark elements in an effort to retain the personality of the original building. EDA took great care to preserve the original neighborhood qualities of the building, while updating the functional requirements.
