Salt Palace Convention Center Expansion

The Salt Palace Convention Center required an expansion in order to accommodate the community’s growing post-Olympics convention market. The expansion includes an additional 154,144 square feet of exhibit and lobby space and 114,489 square feet of meeting rooms. The expansion included a two-level, 404 parking stall structure beneath the new facility. It includes the largest solar-power lighting system installed to date in Utah and a 100% storm water retention system. The project was certified Silver LEED® by U.S. Green Building Council in December of 2006.
